General Description
The SS10580 device allows all devices on a Modbus RTU RS-485 serial line to be connected to Ethernet with the Modbus TCP protocol.
Via the integrated web server it is possible to configure the Modbus TCP options (IP address, subnet mask, etc.) and the Modbus RTU options (baud rate, etc.).
The device provides complete electrical isolation between the lines, introducing valid protection against the effects of any ground loops that may exist in industrial applications.
Signalling LEDs for Ethernet and serial communication activity and for the power supply allow direct monitoring of the system functionality.
Connection is made using removable screw terminals (inputs and power supply) and an RJ45 socket (Ethernet).
The device is housed in a rugged self-extinguishing 2-module DIN plastic enclosure for mounting on an EN-50022 standard DIN rail.
