Load break switches are devices that can be opened and closed when the circuit is under load in medium voltage systems. Thanks to the arc chute on the switch, the arc that occurs during opening
and closing is prevented. Thus, the switch can be opened under load as well.
They are divided into four categories as normal, grounded, fused and fused grounded. Load break switches can be manufactured as three-pole or single-pole, in a construction that can be mounted on a vertical/horizontal plane, upon request. A porcelain, epoxy or silicone insulator can optionally be used in load break switches.
