General Description
The SS 3188 device can receive up to 8 digital inputs and control up to 8 transistor outputs. Data is transmitted via MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol to the RS-485 network.
To ensure safe system operation, the device is equipped with two Watch-Dog timers: in the event of an alarm, the outputs are automatically forced to a safe configuration; the outputs are also protected against excessive currents and temperature.
The 2000 Vac galvanic isolation between inputs, outputs, power supply and RS-485 serial line cancels any ground-effect noise, allowing the device to be used in the worst ambient conditions.
The SS 3188 complies with the 89/336/EEC directive on electromagnetic compatibility.
The SS 3188 is housed in a rugged self-extinguishing plastic enclosure 17.5 mm thick, suitable for the standard EN 50022 DIN rail.
