General Description
The SS8188 device is a Modbus TCP server unit with 8 digital input channels and 8 PNP outputs.
For the digital inputs, up to 4 counters on 32 bits are available with frequency measurement up to 300 Hz.
The Ethernet interface enables real-time reading and writing of the values of the internal registers of the device.
The built-in SS8188 Web server enables remote visualization and acquisition of the digital input states, for driving the digital outputs and access to and configuration of the main Ethernet parameters via a web browser.
The SS8188 device provides complete electrical isolation between the lines, introducing valid protection against the effects of any ground loops that may exist in industrial applications.
The signalling LEDs for Ethernet activity, input and output states and power supply allow direct monitoring of the system functionality.
Connection is made by means of removable screw terminals (inputs, outputs and power supply) and an RJ45 plug (Ethernet).
The device is housed in a rugged self-extinguishing plastic enclosure which, thanks to its thin profile of only 22.5 mm, allows high-density mounting on a standard EN-50022 DIN rail.
